We built this because Friday afternoon was gone
Yetrics is a small data consultancy. We ran ClickUp for the work and Toggl Track for the hours, like most studios our size, and every Friday someone spent an afternoon making the two agree. Task names had drifted. Hours sat against a project rather than a piece of work. A few always went missing, and a few always got billed twice before someone caught it.
The tools were not bad. They were just two tools, and the gap between them was where our margin went. So we built the join: a project tool with the clock inside the task, so an hour is attached to the work the moment it is spent.
That is the whole idea, and it is one click. Everything else — five views, timesheets, budgets, approvals, reports — exists because once the hours and the work are the same record, those things are nearly free.
What we will not do
We are not going to ship a desktop agent that reads your window titles. We are not going to build a surveillance dashboard for managers. Time tracking in this product exists so that work can be billed and estimated honestly — not so anyone can be watched.
We are also not going to hold your data hostage. Export works on every plan, including the free one, and keeps working after you stop paying.
On ClickUp and Toggl
This is a clean-room rebuild of the parts of both that a studio actually uses. None of their code, design files, copy, icons or assets. The product was researched from their public documentation, pricing pages and API docs, and written from scratch. We are not affiliated with either, and we think both are good at what they do — just not at being each other.
Where it is going
The hosted version with real accounts and a shared database is next. After that: a public API, CSV and API import from both tools, and recurring work. The changelog is honest about what has actually shipped versus what is still a plan.
Want to shape it?
We would rather build the next thing with ten studios than guess at it for a thousand. Tell us what breaks in your week.
